On Wednesday, Nov. 18, from 11:30 am to 1 pm, the Anglican Diocese of Ottawa Communications and Development department along with the Parish Development Subcommittee is holding a webinar about social media use and governance for parishes.

This practical introduction to Facebook, Instagram and managing your parish’s social media accounts will cover introductory level social media use, such as how to set up and use Facebook and Instagram, as well as best practices for posting to both. It will also cover how to set up a Meta Business Portfolio to make it easy to add and remove volunteers and ensure that the ownership of parish social media accounts is properly established.

Anyone involved in social media management for a parish, from volunteers to administrators to clergy, are invited to register. You’re also welcome to register if you don’t fall into one of those categories and are simply interested in learning, it will just be tailored for parish social media administrators.

Register through the ADO Learning Commons or find the registration link on our social media channels.

The webinar will be recorded and made available in the ADO Learning Commons, along with practical tools and resources to help parishes strengthen their social media presence and manage their accounts effectively over time. Questions? Contact the Communications & Development team at [email protected].
